Associate – Consultant, Facilitator and Coach
Allen Hirsh a consultant, facilitator, and coach who has worked with dozens of global organizations in a range of talent management and leadership areas across senior, middle management, and emerging leader groups.
With 35 years of experience as an organizational and leadership consultant, Allen wears a variety of hats: strategist, facilitator, organization designer, coach, team builder, and educator. Allen is known for his ability to help organizations expand their capabilities in leadership, strategic thinking, change management, learning, team development, and talent building. In particular, Allen has a breadth of expertise in helping organizations to: create and reinforce the right organizational culture, values, structures, and processes; drive innovation and growth; target leadership development including developing future leaders; and, build team effectiveness and collaboration.
As a facilitator and coach, Allen’s passion is to help clients achieve their business results and grow as leaders by encouraging them to have courageous conversations about their “current reality” and their “preferred future,” and to develop practical actions for closing the gaps. Allen has been active in diversity and inclusion for over 25 years and his work has included consulting engagements, facilitation and leadership programming, and coaching.
Allen is also Founder of NextGenLeaders, a collaborative network of Canadian management consultants, organization development specialists, and coaches with years of experience in helping clients achieve results and develop their organizational and leadership capabilities. Prior to starting NextGenLeaders, Allen was a partner at the firms of Oliver Wyman, Mercer Delta, and Johnston Smith International.
In his volunteer life, it has been Allen’s privilege to be closely affiliated with Civic Action, where he has been closely and actively involved with the DiverseCity Fellows program since the “drawing board” stage seven years ago. This program has been recognized as a leading cross-sector Urban Fellows program. He also works closely with Ashoka Canada and the Ashoka Fellows Support Network.
